As well as specialising in working with children and adolescents, I have worked with adults for 19 years and look forward to hearing from you to arrange an initial session. My consulting room in Godstone is a comfortable room, suitable for adults, as well as young people and is designed to not look like an office!
Counselling in your adult years gives you a chance to talk with me about the things in your life that don’t make sense or that are making you feel a myriad of difficult feelings. Talking with me can help you to understand childhood difficulties, current difficulties and unhelpful patterns of behaviour and thoughts better. This allows you to moved towards seeing and understanding how they are affecting your life now. This, in turn, can allow you to feel more confident about living a more content life.
I am the founding member of East Surrey Counselling Group and organise two counselling rooms in Godstone, used by our team of 7 counsellors. We work with clients of various ages and one of our group Yvonne works with clients with a history of sexual abuse/violence. If my practice is full when you contact me I am happy to refer you to one of my colleagues, thinking about who is best placed to help you or your child.
